TAKE NOTE: The dates for this workshop are MONDAY 24th – THURSDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2025 and students are advised to arrive in Hill End on Sunday afternoon/evening. Hill End is a four hour drive from Sydney and only accessible by road. If you do not have a car we will arrange carpooling between participants.
In this workshop you will be able to identify and develop your own projects in response to the historic gold mining precinct, which is located on the lands of the Bularidee tribe of the Wiradjuri People.
Drawing i.e. thinking with materials in hand, will underpin the program. Choice of mediums will vary with each participant, during initial research up to final project, ranging from various dry mediums to watercolours. Experimental alternatives will be encouraged. You will need to bring your own materials, paper etc. Boards and outdoor easels can be borrowed from the Drawing Department.
