Double portrait (JJ/RR) 2025 is an experimental, dialogic homage to Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg, staged in both FRONTSPACE and BACKSPACE. The project riffs on the visual languages of both artists. It extrapolates elements of their early individual work alongside the interplay of their mutual influence and draws out the often elided but ever-present queerness and intimacy of their practices and relationship. The works also extend the slippages between 2D and 3D processes in my own practice. I will continue to work on the drawing over time.
