out of place 2020
A composition of found studio stuff placed on pre-existing pin holes, at NAS Storrier Onslow studio, Cité Internationale des Arts Paris – recreated.
In recreating this site-specific work from my residency at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, these collected objects specific to that place, are now rendered ‘out of place’. The peculiarities of a place – its spaces, objects of curiosity and remnants of life – are largely defined by our own perceptions and habits. Working with found objects and materials I explore how these simple things carry the qualities and memory of time and place.

The residency took place October 2019 – January 2020 through the Storrier Onlsow National Art School Residency program.
