Drawing holds a pivotal place in contemporary art practice. An action, a process, a way of thinking: it is re-invented by each generation because it continues to be indispensable to artists across many areas of practice. This symposium examined the shape of drawing in Australia in 2019, through the discussion by artists about their own works and the works of others.
The day began with Mike Parr’s Keynote presentation.
